Washington, DC – Following Election Day, the Exporters for Ex-Im Coalition released the following statement

“Congress avoided disaster before the midterm election by keeping the Ex-Im Bank open for a few more months, but proven job creators around the country need the certainty that comes with a multi-year of extension of the Bank in order to grow and hire. If Congress continues to put off its responsibility to act on Ex-Im Bank reauthorization, small businesses and manufacturers will lose access to competitive financing when they need it most – and that means losing sales and jobs to foreign competitors that are often aggressively supported by their own governments.

“Small businesses and manufacturers across the United States will continue to educate their local business leaders and elected leaders about the important role that Ex-Im Bank plays in leveling the global playing field. We urge Congress to complete its work on this issue as soon as possible.”
