Exporters For Ex-Im Coalition Applauds Texas Lawmakers For Voting To Reauthorize Ex-Im

The Exporters For Ex-Im Coalition released the following statement upon passage of legislation to reform and reauthorize the Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank:

“We applaud the Texas lawmakers who fought for U.S. workers and voted to reform and reauthorize the Ex-Im Bank. This vote was long overdue. Nearly all Democrats and the majority of Republicans in the House voted to ensure job creators have the tools they need to compete. The debate over Ex-Im has always been about jobs and whether U.S. manufacturers can continue to compete overseas and hire right here at home.”

The following Members from Texas voted for final passage of the Ex-Im reauthorization bill:

Rep. Joe Barton

Rep. Kevin Brady

Rep. Joaquin Castro

Rep. Henry Cuellar

Rep. Lloyd Doggett

Rep. Kay Granger

Rep. Gene Green

Rep. Al Green

Rep. Rubén Hinojosa

Rep. Will Hurd

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee

Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson

Rep. Beto O’Rourke

Rep. Ted Poe

Rep. Pete Sessions

Rep. Mac Thornberry

Rep. Marc Veasey

Rep. Filemon Vela

Rep. Randy Weber

In Texas, Ex-Im helped support over 1,500 businesses of all sizes, which in turn supported more than 152,900 jobs from 2007 to 2014. To learn more about the impact of Ex-Im nationwide, click here.
